Pets and pet lovers can hobnob with the likes of Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Patty Murray, and Reps. Gerald Connolly and Allen West Wednesday night at the second iteration of Pets for Patriots.The $100-a-ticket event, which has 57 members on its honorary host committee, benefits nonprofit Pets for Patriots. The group tries to permanently place shelter pets with both currently-serving and veteran military families. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served to the humans, while pets get to munch on food at a pet food bar. Adoptable dogs from the Washington Humane Society will be on hand as well. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. at Eastern Market. Check out the invite here.
